To commemorate International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating all the amazing contributions women have made to music by launching our brand-new Viva La Woman! AUPEO! Station! To thank all the women – from Diana Ross, Madonna and Joni Mitchell to Tina Turner, Yoko Ono and La Roux– who have made intense and multifaceted music, and all of you for making AUPEO! your place to discover new music, we’re leaving our proudly feminine AUPEO! Station in free rotation under the Pop genre heading during the whole month of March. Viva La Woman!


Soul has taken many twists and turns over its 60-year history, but there is a core group of artists and songs that EVERY fan of Soul should have on their shelves – from  the early 50’s Soul of Solomon Burke, the Motown sound of Stevie Wonder to the Disco Soul of Freda Payne.  We’ve compiled it all in one place so all you need to do is go to the R&B/ Hip-Hop category, click on our Soulful AUPEO! Station’s logo, sit back and enjoy (or revisit) the hallmark tracks that have stood the test of time and are just as amazing as they were the day they were released.


Our newly launched Underground Nation AUPEO! Station chronicles guitar-based Rock as it existed under the mainstream radar for the last 20 years.  While all those that made it big were great, bands like Dinosaur Jr., The Jesus Lizard and Sonic Youth pushed the limits of loud guitar Rock out of its boundaries. You’ll find many of them here, with more tracks being added regularly. Underground Nation is in our Rock section and free for all Basic users this month.
